Caleb Wilson, Account Manager
1. How would you describe your account management role at KES?
My role as an account manager is to ensure that all our customer's needs are understood and satisfied. I build and maintain relationships with our customers and partners and work together to come up with solutions to enhance their business software.
2. What are two skills that are necessary for a good account manager?
The top two skills absolutely required for a good account manager are communication and time management. The largest part of good communication is listening. I speak with customers on a day-to-day basis and it's crucial to listen to their needs and be able to verbalize solutions to them. Secondly, time management. We work with over 100 customers, and it's important to get what our customers need in a timely manner.
3. Can you tell us about your professional background?
After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in 2018 with my bachelor's degree, I started working as an IT Recruiter for one of the top recruiting agencies. A background in IT recruiting has tremendously helped me in my role as an account manager, as I grew my communication skills and learned about many different areas of the technology industry.
4. What is your favorite thing about working with KES's customers?
I think my favorite thing about working with KES customers is the people themselves. We have such a wide variety and diverse portfolio that one day I might be speaking with a controller of an enterprise hospitality organization and the next talking with the president of a small healthcare business. It's the relationships that make this job so fun.
5. What advice do you have for customers who are hesitant to move to NetSuite?
I would say that we know moving to a new ERP software can be intimating but NetSuite is built for all sizes and types of businesses. Choosing to work with a partner like KES can make the transition painless and you can have confidence in your software and enjoy as you watch your business grow.

6. In your opinion, what differentiates KES from other NetSuite consulting firms?
It's right there in our slogan, "Solutions for Today. Partners for Life." There are many partners and solutions out there where their only priority is to get you on their platform and then you're on your own. KES is the opposite of that. We work together during the implementation phase, but once you go live, we are still there working together with you as we continue to optimize and enhance your NetSuite environment to continue to make it better for your business.
7. What is your experience with KES's work culture?
KES has such a great work culture — it's second to none. I love the freedom and flexibility that comes with working with KES. They give me every opportunity to grow professionally and allow and encourage me to explore and choose where I want to develop.
8. How has your career grown since starting at KES?
My career has grown significantly since I started at KES in 2020. For a few years, I felt like an account manager role is where I would excel, and after joining KES as a sales development representative and learning NetSuite, I got the opportunity to move into a full-time account manager role. Knowing the product truly helps me out as an account manager, which is exactly where I want to be in my career. In fact, I recently became NetSuite Foundations Certified — a certification normally held by NetSuite consultants — to provide my customers with added value and to better understand their accounts and unique business challenges.
9. What is the best career advice you received?
It's not exactly "career" advice, but the best advice I've ever received was from my high school baseball coach and it simply boils down to "Attitude and Effort" those are the only two things you're able to completely control and if you give 100% in those two areas you will succeed.
10. What do you like to do when you are not working?
I love spending time with my wife, Kaden, and our dog, Augustine, as well as going to trivia nights and the movies, and reading books.
